What is float in CS2 skins?
A practical explanation of float values, wear tiers, and why two skins with the same wear can sell for different prices.
Float is the numeric wear value attached to a CS2 skin. Lower values usually mean cleaner surfaces, but the visible effect depends on the weapon finish.
Why float matters
A Factory New skin with a 0.006 float can sell at a premium to a 0.055 float because collectors value cleaner examples. The same logic applies near tier boundaries where a skin barely qualifies for a better wear tier.
How to use it
Compare float against recent listings for the same skin, wear, and pattern category. Float alone is not a deal signal; liquidity and marketplace fees still matter.
